Choosing the Right Course |
The best training in the world is useless if your employees don’t get the training they need to better accomplish specific job tasks. Follow these steps to ensure training success with RAMCO.
First, define what the job tasks are and which software supports those tasks most effectively. Once this is accomplished, decide which class(es) include the topics you need by reading through the course descriptions that are available on the RAMCO web site.
Once you have chosen the course that most closely matches the learning goals you have set, you must determine whether you or your employees are ready to take this course, or if you need a prerequisite course.
For example, you may decide that you need to know how to work with user input forms and generating reports in Access. This is an advanced course and requires that you take Access Levels 1, 2, and 3. Even with experience using Access, without these prerequisites, you may find it difficult to keep up in a class, because of gaps in your knowledge of Access.
Many students falsely assume that just using software programs has given them the necessary skills for intermediate or advanced courses. Unfortunately, many find that they do not have a good foundation upon which to build—which is RAMCO’s fundamental training methodology. To help minimize this problem, a pretest is available for most courses.
If you follow the steps above and pass the pretest with the recommended number of correct answers, you can almost always feel confident that you have registered for the correct class!
