RAMCO's Philosophy At RAMCO we believe that for class information to be relevant on the job, the student must not only be exposed to the keystrokes, but when confronted with a problem, be able to apply the appropriate rule, method or principle without having to be shown how. How can this be accomplished? One technique we use is to focus on concepts, not just on keystrokes. Contact us for more information.

	Our method focuses on Concepts	Other methods focus on Procedure
During Class...	Instructor explains concepts and leads students through keystrokes as an example of concepts. Students work on real world exercises independently as a learning tool. Exercises tell what to produce, but not how to do it. They must work through several procedures to solve job related problems. Hints are provided to keep students on track.	Instructor leads students through keystrokes. Students do short one-procedure exercises usually as part of the instructor-led portion. No exercises that make students analyze and re-synthesize information.
Student Manual Style is...	A General reference book: procedures are generic for use back at the work-place class exercises are separated from reference portion of book table of contents and index are available for quick information retrieval	Workbook style focuses on keystrokes: instructions are keystrokes used to build class project exercises give exact steps on how to complete
Benefits are...	Students go further along knowledge continuum: understand keystrokes learn concepts which can be applied to real world situations can solve problems Class can be modified to fit the interest of the students.	Easier on instructor. They can read the book to students or let the students read the book themselves.
